Proceedings of Foard of Commissioners cily of Paducah October 7, 1941
At a reCular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Sy:ion^rs Chanbr-r at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the
7th day of October•, 1901, 17ayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following
janar,ercd to their names: Commissionero Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and
nyor Lactcey (5).
Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read.

of recor._nend to the City Manager that a leave of absence be granted to any employeo who

„arcice of the United States, and that the employees granted such leave be permitted
to return to duty as an employee of the city upon the termination of his enlistment.

Upon the recommendation of Mr. James P. Smith, City Manager,
'that the city of Paducah v:ould be justified in paying the expense for the training of
11men at the Chemical °!larfore School to be held at the Edgewood Arnonal of 6lnrylnnd;
I further move that the City Tanager be authorized to appoint
NkNtwo membcra of the Piro or Police Departments to attend said school, and to pay the
Jyryexpense incurred by them while taking such training. Adopted on call of the roll:

NYA appropriated 615 7 Mayor Lackey offered motion that the City Yanager be authorized
for rentin_- building
on Ky. Ave pp� to lease the building located East of Central Fire Station at a monthly rental of
�i$15.00 for storage of 12YA materials now located in the cityra building at 10th & Jones
I� Streets, the latter building being needed for use as a colored recreational center.

Mayor Lackey offered motion that this regular meeting of the
Board of Comnisnioncrs be adjourned until Thursday, October 9th, 1951 at the hour of
