Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. �Commissioner Baker offered motion that the report of the Police Police Dept June & 6 mo Department for the month of June, 1941, and also the report of the Police Department report for the first six months of the year 1941, be received. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5). Commissioner Baker offered motion that the report of Oak Grove Cak Irova '-stay a June Cemetery for the months of Clay and June, 1941, be received. Adopted on call of the reports roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Maypr Lackey (5). Commissioner Dprian offered tpotion that the City Treasurer be C.P.Creedle refunded tocr directed to refund to C. P. Creedle the sum of '1;30.00 paid by him for the license to license - Catholic Pic- sell beer on the Catholic picnic grounds on July 4th. Jmith, City Manager, relative to stolen bicycles be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll.: Yeas; .,Zormissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5). West Kentucky Fair Mayor Lackey offered motion that the i5oat Kentucky Fair As - Association exempted from city beer licen:o nociation having applied to the Board of Commissioners for exemption from the payment of a license fee chargeable for the sale of beer at its Fair Ground during the fair to be held this summer, and it appearing that none of the proceeds received by the Carey -Reed Company comproniso operators of the Fair will be used for private profit; I move that the request be granted and that the ..est Kentucky ilFair Association be permitted to sell beer without obtaining a city license. Commissioner Blackburn offered motion that the City of Paducah pay llto the Carey -Reed Company and to its attorneys of r000rd, Mcilurry & Reed and '.Pallor & Threlkeld, the sum of $2,478.56 in full settlement and satisfaction of the jud_:;ment rendered in the suit instituted in the McCracken Circuit Court by the Carey -Rood Company against_the City of Paducah,.et a1, under Action No. E-1879, to-othar_with_.tho �Ifurther sum of $771.22 in full settlement and satisfaction of the judgment rendered in Ili the McCracken Circuit -Court in the suit instituted by the Carey -Reed Company against the West End Improvement Company under Action No. E-1788, and that said sums be paid upon the filinL• of an order of satisfaction in each of said actions.
