HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 20, Page 440, June 17, 1941No 40 Proceedings cf Board of Commissioners City of Paducah June 17 1941 At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commissioners Chamber at the City Hall., Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the 17th day of June, 1941, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following `answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5). Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Commissioner Baker offered motion that the payroll for the half June lstfirst j}alf of June, 1941 be allowed in the amount of $10,430.46, and the City Treasurer be authorized to pay same by check drain on the General Fund. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5). Beasley Mar- Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the City t,Ianager be ble & Granite Co., thanked requested to write a letter to the Boanloy Marble & Granite Company expressing to them the thanks of the City of Paducah for the donation of their services in writing upon the statue of Chief Paduke the inscription "Chief Paduke, Dor Whom General 'Villiam Clark Names Paducah", which was selected by the Daughters of the American Revolution. E. Bryant, lights at 6th and 7th on Chief of Police, addressed to Mr. James P. Smith, City Manager, regarding o street Washington hold up :light at 7th and :;ashington Streets be received and filed, and the City Manager be advised to hold up installation of light at either place. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5). Mayor Lackey offered motion that the City Treasurer be authorized Board of Equalization salary for court testi- to pay to Charles Flowers and Sam Dodd the sum of $25.00 each as reimbursement for mony authorized their 1093 of time while testifying as witnesses in the tax appeal cases, and for services rendered by them making inspections and appraisals of property for the purpose of giving such testimony. Adopted on call of the roll: Yoas; Commissioners Baker, Bladkburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5).
