HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 20, Page 420, April 29, 1941No. -420_ ._- _ I Proceeding's of Board of Commissioners Clay of Paducah April 29, 1941 At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Comaissioners Camber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the 29th day of April, 1941, Commissioner Pulliam presided as Mayor pro tom on the absence of Mayor Lackey, and upon call or the roll the following answered to their names: Commissloners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian and Mayor pro tem Pulliam (4). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. I Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the petition signed by Petition for construction sixty-two (62) residents in the vicinity of 6th & George Street requesting the con - of George St. atruction of George Street from the intersection of South 6th Street to the intersection I of South 8th Street be received and filed, and that said petition be referred to the j City Manager for his recommendations. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; lCommissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian and Mayor pro tem Pulliam (4). Paducah pater Commissioner Baker offered motion that the Financial Report of tie Wks. Petition for Co=issioner Blackburn offered motion that the petition signed water con- nection on by.Elmer May and others requesting that they be granted the privilege of connecting a Lo^.e Oak Rd. private water line, described as being a 2 inch water line from the intersection of the reservoir road with the Lone Oak Road, a distance of approximately 1682 feet for the purpose of providing water service for the residences and lots of said petitioners be received and filed. Mayor pro tem Pulliam offered the following motion: I move that Floodwall- Shell Oil Co., improvement to ,the letter of Henry Hutchins, Jr., Lt. Col. of the Corps of Engineers, dated March moorings - permission granted by City 25th 1941, be received and filed, and that the City Engineer be requested to notify Col. Hutchins that the City of Paducah does not object to the work proposed for improving mooring facilities for the Shell 011 Company of Indianapolis, Indiana, as set out in said letter. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Black- burn and Mayor pro tom Pulliam (3) Commissioner Dorian present but not voting. Adjournment Mayor pro tem Pulliam offered motion that this regular meeting be :adjourned until Friday May aid at 2:00 P.M.
