Proceedings of Board of Commisslonora City of Paducah December 11, 1940 --
At a call meeting of the Board of Commiasionera held in the rom-

'.miasioners Chambor at the City Hall, Paducah, Xentucky, at 10:00 A.M. on the 11th day
of Decembor, 1910, Llayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor
Lackey (5).
j Mayor Lackey stated that the purpose of the meeting wan in rct7ard

Mayor Lackey offered the following motion: Ns. Rudy Stewart,
C. F. Ramos - Beer License
Arplication for 28th & .City Alcoholic Beverage Administrator, having requested advices of the hoard of Com -
Park Avenue
,missioners as to whether or not he should grant to C. F. Haws a license to engage in
the business of selling beer and other malt beverages at his lunch room located at the
!korner of 28th and Park Avenue in the City of Paducah, Kentucky;

And it appearing that under the ordinances of the City of Paducah
relating to the selling of such beverages, the Alcoholic Administrator is not

authorized to refuse such license, but by reason of the fact that said business is
located across the street from Noble Park, it is the opinion of this board that the
State Alcoholic Control Board should refuse a license if it is legally authorized
to do so.
I move that the City Alcoholic Beverage Administraotr approve the
application filed by C. F. Haws for a license to engage in the above mentioned
business, but when submitting said application to the State Alcoholic Control Board,
he. is requested to notify said board of the objections of the City of Paducah to the

granting of a license by the state, and that the state license be refused if the
State Alcoholic Control Board is legally authorized to refuse to issue such license.
