Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Commissioner Baker offered motion that the payroll for the last half jPayroll '--last ,i Nov.,1940 or November, 1940 be allowed in the amount of $9751.25 and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay same by check drawn on the General Fund. Adopted on call of the ' ro:l: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and i.Snyor Lackey (5). ;Ad valorem Commincioner Dorian offered motion that the City Manager be directed taxes to be paidon in- f to authorize the City Tronaurer that effective January 1, 1941, to accept the payment 'stalIment p=an 9' of ad valorem taxes on the basis of one-tbnth (1/10) of each taxpayer's asaessmont for >. P the previous year, until the exact amount of assessment and the tax rate for the ij current year has been established, and the City Treasurer shall then adjust the j payments so that the remaining monthly payments will be sufficient that one-half O I; it of the total bill be paid by Tune 30, and the balance to be paid in equal monthly Further that the City Manager have published payments to and including October 31st. Mayor Lackey offered the following motion: }clary Howard Outlay: Price I Dater connection at '!end her husband, C. A. Price, Edward Outlaw and his wife, Edna Outlaw, fila their inter sec tion of Lone Of:k Ed. 1: Hickory St., -'petition represnnting that they are the oi'mers of Lots 15 in Block 14, and Lot 13 in rricc, et al Block 14, in the L. D. Sanders Sui.-Division outside the city limits of Paducah. They petition the City to authorize a tap of the twenty-four inch water main at the inter - 'section of the Lone Oak Road and IIickory Street, and for permission to lay a private ,one inch water line from the point of said tap to the main westward a distance of ;approximately 900 feet and along Hickory Street. It appearing that the petitioners have deposited with the Com- misaioners of hater Vlorks a sum necessary to defray the expense of ma;dn_, said tap;- �I move that the petition be received and filed, and that the Paducah '.:ator Works and its Commissioners be authorized to make said tap and to provide water service to the residences of said petit_oners in accordance with the terms set forth in said petition.
