Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah November 16. 1940
At an adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners
held in the Commissioners Chamber at the City hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 11:00
o'clock A.11., on the 16th day of November, 1940, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of
the roll the followln� annx:ered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Blackburn,
• Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5).
Payroll -first Commissioner Baker offered motion that the payroll for the
half of Nov., first half of November, 1940 be allowed in the amount of $$9692.22 and that the City

Treasurer be authorized to pay name by check drawn on the General Fund.

Commissioner Pulliam offered motion that the letter of T. A.

Bradley, City Lhgineer, addressed to James P. Smith, City Manager, dated November 15,

G. Tandy Y i Commissioner Pulliam offered the following motion: G. Tandy
Smith's
assi,;nr:ent -pith, Jr., having completed the plans and specifications for the construction of a

Riverside to new addition to the Riverside Hospital, and the City of Paducah being indebted to him

Bank in a sum equal to 4,% of the total cost of constructing said addition, the exact amount
of his fee has not been determined, but it appearing from the letter of T. A. Bradley,
City Engineer, dated November 15, 1940, that as now estimated the total cost of
construction will amount to 183,461.00;
And said Architect having requested the City of Paducah to
accept his assignment to the Citizens Savings Bank in the amount of $$3,339.00;
C I now move that the City of Paducah acknowledge itself indebted

Tandy Smith, Jr., in the sum of 003,339.00 under his contracts with the said
city for the preparation of plans and specifications and services to be rendered during
the construction of said hospital, and that said City accept and agree to abide by the
