AN, .iT!iLEN3 SA+,l.:i3 bAtiK, Commissioner Baker offered motion that a resolution City Manager to receive, bids on City Audit for entitled: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RECEIVE BIDS OF QUALIFIED 1940 PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS FOR PREPARING AN AUDIT OF ALL ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, IN THE YEAR 1940, AND PRESCRIBING THE FANNER IN WHICH SAID BIDS SHALL BE RECEIVED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (5). Commissioner Baker offered motion that the petition Street light petition 29th k Tennessee reed s17ned by Mrs. P. Owens and others requesting the installation of a street light at the and filed corner of 29th and Tennessee Streets be received and filed. Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the City Manager City Manager authoriz- ed to lease vacant be authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of eaducah, a 10ts 207-209 S.3rd to Clyde T.Emerson lease of property at 207-209 on the Vest side of Third Street to Clyde T. Pkterson, said property to be leased to him from month to month at a rental of $31.75 per month payable in advance. Smith, City Manager, dated October 22nd, 1940, be y all per- received and filed, and that the American Legion Auxiliary, Mrs. Fred 11cCandless, mit to vanilla ex- tract jPresident, and Mrs. C. R. Moffit, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, be permit- ted to conduct a campaign during the year 1940 for the sale of vanilla extract without being required to pay a city license for the privilege of engaging in such business. Commissioner Dorian offered the following motion: I move that Oak Grove r� cemetery lot- the sale and conveyance of a cemetery lot by J. E. Melton, Attorney-in-fact for the Mei tor., etal to Terrell, heirs at law of H. McKnight, deceased, to James C. Terrell, Joseph Terroll and Mrs. etal Yfary Emery, which cemetery lot is located on the West side of Lot #208 Section 13, IFeal Property Survey-Lex- irgton and Owensboro ,returned to Mr.Goodr..an in Oak Grove Cemetery, Paducah, Kentucky, the same consisting of'a strip 20 feet across and extending 15 feet deep to the east, full width of the front, be approved, and that the City Clerk be authorized to enter said sale and conveyance of record upon the Cemetery Register of the city. Mayor Lackey offered motion that the information regarding the Zurveys of Owensboro & Lexington for Kentucky properties furnished by Mr. George H. Goodman, be received, and the City Manager be instructed to advance thanks to Mr. Goodman for his kindness.
