Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah July 30, 1940 _&_Aug;"t_P_,_.l9.40 Mayor Lackey offered the following motion: I move that an ordinan- ce entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AU711ORIZING 71E ACCEPTANCE OF THE BID OF PETER PIRSCH to SONS Ordinance accepting COi:PANY OF KE:OSHA, WISCONSIN, FOR 'DIE LEASING 70 THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR bid of Peter Pirsch k SonsTH-4 RE'.fAINDER OF THE YEAR 1940 OF ONE (1) NEN TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPING ENGINE AND ONE CorrPary on fire equip- .(1) NEW AERIAL LADDER TRUCK, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF A SUM xnt OF NOT PJCCEEDING $5,800.00 FOR THE LEASING OF SAID FIRE FIGHTING APPARATUS AND EQUIPMEET DURING SAID PERIOD; PROVIDING OPTIONS FON T'HE HERENAL OF SAID LEASE ON UANUARY 1ST,1941 AND IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS; PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UNDLR VN ICH VE CITY SHALL BECOME Tr:E OWNER OF SAID LEASED PROPERTY; AND AUTHORIZING AND EMPOWERING JAMES P. SISIul, CITY MANAGER, TO SIGN ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH A LEASE, CONTRACT AND OPTION FOR THE LEASING OF SAID FIRE FIGHTING APPARATUS AND EQUIPMENT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian, Pu]liam and Mayor Lackey (5). On motion meeting adjourned. T J ADOPTED ,1940 ArPROVED: idAYOR � CI Y CLE iFY-xit+3i[�#;F+kw"#itiFif iHta'r.:=till: At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commissioners Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 10 o'clock A.M., on the 2nd day of August, 1940, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (4) Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, towit: For the purpose of passing the payroll for the last one-half of July, 1940, and to transact any other business that may come properly before the meeting. Commissioner Baker offered motion that the payroll for the Plast lhalf !Bat half of July, 1940 be allowed in the amount of $10,703.40 and that the City July, 1940 Trenauror be authorized to pay same by checks drawn on the General Fund.
