At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Com-
missionera Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 11:50 o'clock A.M., on the
24th day of July, 1940, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following
andwered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, 2XXJaW Pulliam and Mayor
Lackey (g).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
leasing fire equipment and transact any other business that may come properly before
the meeting.
Piro Equip -
Mayor Lackey offered motion that the City of Paducah accept the
=ent - offer offer of the Peter Pirsch & Sons Company to lease to it, subject to the hereinafter
of Peter
Pirsch & Son mentioned conditions, the following described property:
accepted
One (1) Model a5 - 750 gallon Triple Combination Pumping Engine, and
one (1) Model 25 - 2ntermadiate Aerial Ladder Truck with 75 foot ladder with pump
booster equipment and hose baskets.
Said lease to contain the provision under which said property shall t
leased to the City of Paducah until January 1st, 1941 in consideration of the payment
of $3,000.00 in cash and the payment monthly during the remainder of the year 1940, the
sum of $548.66, the first of said monthly payments to become due thirty days after
delivery of said equipment and the testing and acceptance thereof by said city; and
provided further that under said lease the seller grants unto said city the right and
option to renew said lease on January 1st, 1991, and on January lst,of each yeah
thereafter; and if said lease options shall be exercised as herein provided, said
Leesor will agree to execute and deliver to the City of Paducah a bill of sale to said
property upon the payment in cash and in rental installments the total aum of
$22,752.08.
And provided further, that the aforesaid bid shall not be accepted
or become binding upon the parties hereto until the City of Paducah, by and through ital
Board of Commissioners, has adopted an ordinance authorizing, the execution of the I
aforesaid lease contract, and the Peter Pirsch & Sons Company executes a contract in
conioraity with the provisions of said ordinance, and in form and substance satisfactory
to the Corporation Counsel. Adopted on call of the roll: Yoaa; Commissioners Baker,
lackburn, Pulliam and Mayor Lackey (4).
