At a call moetinG of the Board of' Commissioners held in the Commission^rs
�Chaaber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 3:00 o'clock P.ld., on the 25th day
in the absence of I.iayor Lackey
of January, 1940, Commissioner Pulliam presided as Bayer pro tem/and upon call of the
roll the following anm erect to their names: CommissionQrn Baker, Blackburn, Dorian
and Mayor pro tern Pulliam (4).
This meetinC was enlled by rnyor pro tem Pulliam and Commioaioner nary I?.
Dorian for the purpose of restoring the fire department back to Its former strength

by employment of 8 additional men effective an of January 25th.,/and to transact any
other business that may come properly before the meeting,
Commissioner Blackburn offered the following motion: I move that an ordl-

Commissioner Dorian offered motion that Ed D. Hannan be desi mated and

Commissioner Baker offered the followinZ notion: Paul Iverlett having
requested a lenve of absence from his employment in the Fire Department of the City
of `aduenh for a period of 90 days from this date, and it appearing that he has been
in the service of said department for more than two (2) years, and is entitled to a
leave of absence by reason thnroof;-
I move that Paul Ivorlett be granted a leave of absence for a period of 90
days from thin date. Adnpted on call of the roll: Yeas; Co:mnisaionera Baker,
