SS'IRB, CITY I.-ANAGER TO SIGN AND EXECUTE FOR AND ON BCHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH A PROJECT PROPOSAL OF THE WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION, UNDER 1.7iIICH PAYMENT OF SUCH SUM 3AALL BE MADE% be introduced at a regular meeting of the board of Commia3lone rs, and before its adoption it shall remain on file at least one (1) week for public insepetion in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and after its adoption it shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter. Mayor Lackey offered the following motion: Douglas Beasley having DOU^las Eeasley granted additional leave of ab- heretofore been granted a leave of absence frog! his employment in the Police Department serce from police DepartmT�t of the City of Paducah, said leave extending, for a period of 90 days from November 6, 1939, and having requested a further leave of 90 days, - up„ I now move that the said Douglas Teasley be granted a further leave of absence for a period of 90 days from and after February 4, 1940. Proceedings of 10ar-2 of Co:_nisslonera Cily of Paducah- January Tsyor Lackey offered the followln^ motion: She Board of _ Sao ✓ - 7'P- Co-niseioners be_nr informed that certain of t: -.o firms which submitted bids for the :was sale to the City of Paducah of 4000 feet of fire hose failed-, o:thor throuffl mistake to =" or oversight, to sutrit their lowest and beet bid for house to be purchasod, and, it appearing that all companies .,,he sunmitted sealed bids are represented by salesmen at this meeting with the exception of the Manhattan Rubber Company, but that the representative of the Yanhattan Rubber Company know that the matter of accepting a bid ;for the purchase of said hose was to be discussed at this adjourned meeting and failed to ap,,ear; I move that before any bid is accepted by this Board, that each and all of . the bidders represented at thin meeting be given the opportunity to change the amount of his bid if he wishes to do no, such change to be made in writing and within 50, minutes from the time of the ma::in,^ of this motion.
