HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 20, Page 213, October 9, 1939NO.. 223_..._ .--- Proceedings of i3onrd of Cos:issioners City of Paducah October 9, 1939 At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Comissioners' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:30 P.M. on the 9th day of October, 1939, Mayor Vashburn presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hank, Melton, Pulliam, .itutblefield and Mayor t;ashburn (5). Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Commissioner Hank offered the following notion: At a meeting of Corrected notion for the Hoard of Corsaissioners held on August 21st, 1939, the property owners on Monroe extension of water main on Z'treet between 24th and 25th Streets submitted to the Board their petition requesting 7onroe - 24th to 25th an extension of water mains on Monroe Street between said streets, said extension having been recom-ended by the Commissioners of Water }Yorks; and, WHEREAS, under a motion adopted on said date it was ordered that said petition be received and filed and that the request of said property owners be granted, and; WHEHEAS, through mistake and oversight no provision was made in said motion for the payment by the City of Paducah for the hydrant rental when such extensions are made as set out in the franchise of said water works; I now move that the City of Paducah agree and bind itself to pay the hydrant rental provided in the franchise of said water works and to pay the water main rental as also provided in said franchise, said payments to commence then the aforesaid water mains have been laid and the water has been turned into same. Adopter on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hank, Melton, Pulliam, Stubblefield 9 and IZayor lYashburn (5). :-r and Mayor Washburn offered the followinf motion: I move that the pro- orr,l'to mare proposal of Yeager and :.bite to audit the pity of Paducah be received, approved and city oudit accepted filed of record, and that Corporation Counsel be directed to draft the necessary or•inance therefor.
