Paducah, Kentucky, at 2 otclock P.n., on the 2nd day of February, 1538, 'kayor tashburn presided and upon call of the roll the 1'ol.lowing answered to their names: Commissioners Hank, Melton, Pulliam., StubuLeileia and :9ayor "ashburn (5) . :!ayor Washburn stated reason for call, to -wit: To allow payroll for the Last one-half of January, 1938, and to transact any other business that may comae before the meeting. Alberta Cos,.aissioner Hank offered the following motion: I move that a deed eeor; deed to be granted to Alberta Thompson for the west one-half of Lot 60 in Block jl5 in Oak deed t lot. in O.Grv. Ggove cemetery, Paducah, Kentucky, upon payment of the proper amount of $15.00 to the City Treasurer be approved. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Comreissioners Hank, :Helton, Pulliam, Stubblefield and Mayor Washburn (5). Commissioner Hank offered the following motion: That the payroll for Payroll,; last the last half of January, 1538 be allowed in the amount of ;P10131.83, and that the Jan. 8 City Treasurer be authorized to pay same by checks. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hank, Melton, Pulliam, Stubblefield and Mayor Washburn (5). Drink- ard's Grocery, 1113 So.3rd Street had in his possession 93 cartons of cigar- ettes; said cigarettes being a part of the ioot £roto the :d. C. & St. L. Nail- road Company, which was recovered by the police department from B. B. Drinkard of B. B. Drinkard's Store; said B. B. Drinkard admitting to Chlcsof Police e,'1. E. Bryant, Chief of Detectives, Kelley Frankiin and Assistant Chief of Police Gene Sumners that he secured the untax paid cigarettes from 71r. Moody of ::oodyts Cash Grocery Store at 1100 S 8th Street, - I now move that the required k� notice be given to B. B. Drinkard to appear before the board of cowmissiontrs on the 7th day of February, 1938 at the hour of 3:00 o'clock P.M. to show cause, if any he has, why his licenses, issued by the City of Paducah to engage in business in the City of Paducah, should not be revoked.
