J Sogthern Mayor pro tem Hank offered the following motion: R. Ray 'ifilkins, Hotel build- Chief of the City of Paducah Fire Department, having submitted to the Board of Com- inc co ndenned -missidners a report atating that the building located at let and Broadway known as the Southern Hotel, is in a dangerous condition, the walls being put of plumb and lihaving several cracks in them, and the first and second floors of said building, by reason of decay, being dangerous from fire and life standpoint; - I move that the Board of Commissioners recomrend to the State Fire Marshall the condemnation of said building, and that acid building be ordered torn down, removed from the lot and the property placed in a sale condition in conformity with and pursuant to the regulations of the Building Code of the National Board of Fire Underwriters, which was adopted by the City of Paducah under ordinance dated October 5, 1937. Ben j Clam -deed Clark having presented to the Board of Commissioners a deed of conveyance executed and to t in Ca Grove,delivered to her by Frank Stewart, at al, dated July 11, 1939, and under which deed the said Frank Stewart, at al conveyed to her a lot 5 feet by 10 feet on the northwest corner of Lot 1:0.212, Section 14 of Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky; - I move that the conveyance of said burial lot as aforesaid be approved and that the cemetery records be corrected to show said conveyance. NO. 194 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah July 24, 1939 ' Mayor pro tem Hank offered the following motion: I move that a resolution Resolution protesting Increase in fire in- entitled:"A RESOLUTION PROTESTING THE INCREASE OF FIRE INSURANCE RATES AS TFNTATIVEIZ surance rates ESTABLISIiED BY THE KENTUCKY ACTUARIAL BUREAU, AND REQUESTING RECON3IDuRAT10tI BY THE KENTUCKY ACTUARIAL BUREAU OF THE QUESTIOII AS TO THE RATES 10 BE CHARGED BY FIRE I:iSURAi:CE COMPANIES FOR POLICIES UPON PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH" be adopted. Mayor pro tem Hank offered motion that this regular meeting be adjourned i until 2:00 o'clock P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 1939. Mayor pro tem Hank (4). i At an adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Comsissionora Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 25th day of July, 1939, Commissioner Hank presided as Mayor pro tem in the absence of Mayor Washburn and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Melton, Pulliam, Stubblefield and Mayor pro tem Hank (4). Resolution authorizing Mayor pro tem Hank offered the following motion: I move that a resolution sale of house at 501 entitled: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY [TANAGER TO SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER II. 5th street AT PUBLIC AUCTION THE BUILDINGS AND OUT HOUSES LOCATED UPON THE LOT OR PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT 501 NORTH 5711 STREET IN PADUCAH, M-N'TU-KY, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS UNDER WHICH SAID BUILDINGS SHALL BE SOLD", be adopted. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeaa; Commissioners Melton, Pulliam, Stubblefield and Mayor pro tom Hank (4).
