F. ✓ Mcr.Iurry, Special Counsel, having rocommended to the Board that the City accept title Floodwall decd to I Hook & Turner property � ;to a certain lot or parcel of land owned by B. B. Hook and Henry Turnor, known as accepted ¢Tact He, , and required for use in the construction of a sea wall, subject to the lien for any and all taxes which may be due against said property,- I move that . F. McMurry, Special Counsel, be authorized to accept, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a deed to the tract of land owned by B. B. Hook and Henry Turner without requiring the payment of any taxes now due, the conveyance to be accepted subject to the lien of the State of Kentucky, County of McCracken and City of Paducah for any and all taxes heretofore levied against said property. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Melton, Pulliam, Stubblefield and Mayor pro tem Hank (4). / Commissioner Melton offered the following motion: Mr. 4J. F. -loodwall deed to Alice 7.7eston property McMurry, Special Counsel, having reconmanded to the Board that the City accept title accepted Ito a certain lot or parcel of land owned by Alice Weston, known as Tract No.12, and required for use in the construction of a sea-wall, subject to the lien for any and all ;;taxes which may be due against said property,- I move that V.I. F. Mc:.:u•ry, Special Ij counsel, be authorized to accept, for and on behalf of the city of Paducah, a deed to the tract of land owned by Alice 1eston without requiring the payment of any taxes now hh�due, the conveyance to be accepted subject to the lien of the State of Kentucky, 'County of Y.cCrac':en and City of Paducah for any and all taxes heretofore levied against said property. Said pipe connection shall bo made subject to the terms and con- ditions contained in the petition filed by Roy Hoewischer, and the City shall in no event be liable for failure to supply water or any specified presaure. Commissioner Pulliam offered the following motion: An ordinance Electric Franchise entitled, "AII ORDIidANCE CREATING A FRANCHISE OR PRIVILEGE TO FURNISH ELECTRICITY FOR Ordinance adopted LIGHT, P0'7ER, HEAT AND ANY OTHER PURPOSES FOR 17HICII ELECTRICITY IS USED IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF SAID FRANCHISE, FIXING AND REGULATING UNDER SAID FRANCHISE THE RATES TO BE CRAiiGED FOR THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTRIC ENERGY AILD SERVICE WITHIN THE CITI, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVOCA^_ION OF SAID FRANCHISE UPON THE ACQUISITION BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF THE PURCHASERS DISTR�EUTION PLANT, CMiERATING PLANT, SUBSTATIONS AND TRANS14ISSION CONNECTIONS, AND THE PROPERTIES AILD FACILITIES OF TTM PURCHASER AS THE CITY MAY REQUIRE FOR THE ESTABLISHIMMT, IMINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF ITS OWN ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER PLANT, AND PRESCRIBIIIG TIM T'ERISS AND COLMITIONS UNDER IMICH THE CITY MAY EXERCISE THE P017ER OF REVOCATION AIID ACQUIRE 7;1E ELECTP,IC UTILITY PROPERTIES OF THE PURCHASEP.; AND RESER` ING THE RIGHT TO ESTABLISH, I,.AIIITAIN AIR) OPERATE, AT ANY TAME DURING THE T RtI OF SAID FRANCHISE A MUNICIPAL LIGHT AIM P017ER PLANT AS AUTUORIZED BY THE LASTS OF THE STATE OF KENTUCKY," having been introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commisnioners on the 13th day of February, 1939, and having remained on file for more than one week for public inspect- Son in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final pasaage,- I move that is said ordinance be aeopted. notion seconded by Commissioner Hank.
