HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 20, Page 1184, November 19, 1946NO. 1184 Proceedings of Board of .Commiss joners City of Paducah November 19, 1946 At a Regular Lleeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.I.:. on 11ovember 19, 1946 Liayor Protem Johnston presided in the absence of L:ayor Seaton, and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Friedlander, Williams and I..ayor Protem Johnston (3), Commissioner Sims and L:ayor Seaton being absent (2). i' ii Einutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Commissioner Friedlander offered the following motion: M. A. Taschner and wife, I+ Clara G. Taschner, owners of a house and lot at 2910 Park Avenue and of two vacant lots Water main extension on Park Avenue between PicCuire Avenue and Cruse Avenue, Bessie T. Adkins, and her Park Avenue between i-cGuire husband, Leslie Adkins, owners of one vacant lot between 7.'cGuire Avenue and Cruse Ave &: Cruse 1' Ave 6 Avenue and fronting on Park Avenue, and Charles H. White and wife, Leona D. White, I! owners of four vacant lots fronting on Park Avenue between L:cGuire Avenue and Cruse Avenue, all in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, file with the Liayor and Board of Commissioners a petition, representing that each of the above named parties is the owner of the respective property referred to in said petition; and said parties petition tte Liayor and Board of Commissioners for the extension of an 8" crater main on Park Avenue from lleGuire Avenue to Cruse Avenue, a distance of approx- imately 800 feet. ! Each of the above mentioned petitioners own unimproved property and have paid to the Paducah Plater Works the following amounts in cash: M. A. Taschner, and wife, I Clara G. Tasbhner, thirty-six dollard plus the utility tax of one dollat and eight cents, the amount due for two lots, Bessie T. Adkins and husband, Leslie Adkins, the sum of eighteen dollars plus the utility tax of fifty-four cents, the amount due for one vacant lot, and Charles H. White and wife, Leona D. White, the stun of seventy- two dollars plus two dollars and sixteen cents utility tax, the ar.+ount due for four vacant lots. The above amounts represent the agreed rental for the number of .lots designated for a per:-od of two years from the completion of the laying of said water main. i It appears from the endorsement by the Board of Commissioners of the Paducah Water • 1+ H Plorks that said request and petition comply with the franchise provisions and re- quirei ents.
