Proceedings of Board of Commissioners r of Paducah_ October 29, 1946 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m., on October 29, 1946) Mayor Seaton presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, Williams, and Mayor Seaton (5). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. i Commissioner Williams offered motion that the original copy of the Agreement i entered into between the City of Paducah and the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission providing for the management of the sixty-five (65) veterans' housing units by the housing commission as the agent of the City of Paducah be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, and Mayor Seaton. (5) Commissioner Friedlander offered motion that the financial report of the Paducah Water Works for the month of September, 1946, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, and Mayor Seaton. (5) Mayor Seaton offered motion that the letter of Roy M. Prather, President of the Retail Merchants Association dated October 25, 1946, be received and filed and '40 that Mr. Leo W. Cunningham be appointed to serve as Assistant Merchants' Police with :011C Full power and authority to make arrests, but the appointment is made upon the condition that the said Leo W. Cunningham shall not be a member of the police force of the City of Paducah, nor shall he acquire any right whatever under the civil service rules governing police officers in cities of the second class, and he shall not receive from the city any compensation whatever on account of the services rendered by him as such officer.
