Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Letter of tdrian H. Commissioner Sims offered motion that the letter of Adrian H. Terrell, Terrell - Gvrta•-e Frunc� as attorney for the Iity of Paducah, with reference to the right of the city to sell a franchise for the collection of garbs; -e Le received and filed. Seller ;'ultiple-Coin Commissioner Sims offered motion that the original of the agreement parkin;- meters - Agreement entered Into between the City of Paducah, Kentucky and the Cuncan Peter Corporation for the leasing of 100 Giller P;ultiple-coin parking meters, the Certificate jj43186G, issued by the Travelers' Insurance Corppany providing public liability insurance coverage for the City of Paducah while said parking meters are being installed, and �i the performance bond executed by the Duncan Yeter Corporation, as principal, and the I Travelers' Insurance Company as its surety, be received, filed and approved. Contract to purchase Commissioner 7iilliams offered emotion that whereas, under an ordinance "uscatine from Forrest ^ratchfield. adopted by the Eoard of Commissioners on April 2nd, 194G, the City i;anager, a.r. Chas. A. .":illiams, was authorized to enter into a contract with Forrest Crutchfield for the purchase by the City of Paducah of the hull of the steamer "Muscatine" for the sum of '3,000.00, said hull to be used as a landing dock; and, whereas the contract of sale which was written into said ordinance was not executed by the said Forrest Crutchfleld, but the Mayor and the members of the hoard of Commissioners have inspected said hull and find that nll of the provisions of said contract have been complied with; I therefore move that the hull of the steamer "Muscatine" to accepted and that the City tisnager and the City Treasurer be authorized to duaw a check or checks for "3,000.00 in payment of the purchase price when he has obtained from the Bald Forrest Crutchfield an affidavit that the City of 'raducah 111 will be seized of a goad and valid titlo, free and clear of all liens and encumtranCea upon the payment of said purchase price. Sugg, ,tra^t Sweepei`Jr. Austin -Western Distributor which was received by the Loard of Commissioners on Nay 28, 1041, and in which bid the said John A. auCgs,•Jr. offers to sell to the City of Paducah one (1) patrol sweeper for the sum of •,4,579.07 be accepted, and that ft ithe Corporation Counsel be authorized to prepare for introduction at the next ' meeting an ordinance appropriatin- the sum of '4,579.07 for the purchase of said sweeper and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract to purchase of the same for that amount.
