Proceedings of "" ` " iPn '' City of Paducah , '.' 13t, Ut ,G & play 3rd, 1946 At an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:00 P.A. on Alay 1st, 1946, Mayor jeaton presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their ner..es: Commissioners Sims, Williams and Mayor Seaton (3). Commissioners Friedlander and Johnston being absent (2). '.tayof Seaton announced that the purpose of the meeting was to hear evidence upon the charges preferred by Chas. A. Williams, Acting City Manager, for the revo- cation of the occupational license under which Clyde Gordon was authorized to conduct a restaurant known as "Gordon's Cafe" at 224 Kentucky Avenue in Paducah, Kentucky, which charges were in writing and a notice thereof was served upon the defendant, Clyde Gordon on April 29th, 1946. On motion of Mayor Seaton, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the aforesaid charges together with the original of the Notice served upon the defendant were ordered to be j I filed. Then c"me Roy Garrison, Attorney for the defendant, Clyde Gordon, and filed his written answer to the aforesaid charges, and the defendant, by and through his Attorney, also moved that the hearing of said charges be continued. j The Board of Commissioners being sufficiently advised overruled the defendant') motion for a continuance of the hearing and proceeded with the trial of the case. It was ordered that Clarice Bradley Jacob, a Notary Public in and for t'cCracke. County, Kentucky, transcribe in shorthand the evidence taken at said hearing. The trial of said case was not concluded and on Motion of Mayor Seaton, seconded by Commissioner aims, this regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners was adjourned until Friday, May 3rd, 1946 at 4:00 P.M. for the purpose of tinuing the hearing of said charges. A. Williams, the Actinr City 14anager, on April 29th, 1946, be dismissed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Williams and Mayor Seaton (3).
