HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 19, Page 95, September 2, 1932NO.__EqE9—%3- Proceedings of Tho City of Paducah_59MtMmbor ?,nd__X= _ y At call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners, Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 11:00 A.I.T. on.the 2nd day of September 1932, in the absence of Mayor Scott i Commissioners Bradshaw presided as Mayor pro tem, and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Con,missionera Block, Bradshaw, Holt, and j� Rieke (4). �I Mayor pro tem Bradshaw stated the reason for call to wit:- For the i purpose of allowing payrolls for the last half of August and any other business as might.come before the meeting. Pay rolls for Com-rissioner Rieke offered motion that the payrolls for the last half last half of August allowed of August 1932 be allowed in the amount of $ 10,184.28, and that the Commissioner of Public Finance be authorized to pay same. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, holt and Rieke (4). $150.00 l+ Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the amount of 6, 150.00 be allowed for purchase of b allowed for the purchase of 5000 envelopes, and that the Commissioner of Public envelopes. Finance be authorized to draw a check on the General Fund to Rex P. Cornelison, Postmaster in payment, and charge same to Printing, Postage & Supplies in the Department of Public Finance. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas;Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Holt and Rieke (4). I Spur Distrib- Commissioner Rieke offered motioh that the Commissioner of Public uting Company exonerated Finance be relieved of penalizing the Spur Distributing Company, Nashville, Tenn. from penalty. and that said concern be exonerated from the payment of penalties charged on Tax Bill # 4375 of 1932 for amount of 96¢ (ninety six cents) in view of the fact that the necessary, information was not received by the Spur Distributing Company in time to enable them to make payment sooner and avoid the penalty charg- es as explained in their letter of August 29th, 1932 and attached to the exoneration form filed herewith.
