'.:ayor Washbarn stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of prefer- ring charges against a city employe and to transact such other business as may properl co:;e before the board. i ::cyor Washburn offered the following motion: On November 19, 1956 at a Corp, call meeting, Cor,:oration Counsel V.I. V. Eaton, publicly stated that the ordinances Co.insel Eaton -' passed by a former administration were prepared by him and by him recoo",Mended to the City Fa_;ager' ad.Tinistration for enactment; that at the time he approved said ordinances, under irstru- r. cted to which there was borrowed £65000.00 from the City National Bank, ::hich sum is now in prefer , chargesl, litigation, that said ordinances were not valid because the money was not used for governmental purposes. He further stated that he would do the same thing again if it could be put over; that if permitted to handle th case without special counsel, he would win the case for the City of Paducah. i! g 'dr. Eaton's public statement has had the effect to destroy all confidence Nthat the Board of Commissioners may have for his honesty of purpose in dealing with th Board, thereby endangering the Boardts action in dealing with public matters. I now move that the City .tanager, L. V. Bean, be instructed to immediately prepare charges against the said Y:. V. Eaton as Corporation. Counsel, charging him with cc,:duct unbecoming a:: employee of the City of Paducah, and that by reason of his conduct, he is no longer of value to the City of Paducah, as such employee. Mayor Washburn offered the following motion: I move that a resolution 'ease- Krug- 4 entitled, "A RESOLU7I01; AUTHORIZING THE CITY :.TANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CO„TRACT OF Thosas .0torV ASING PITH THE KRUG-THOaAS LIOTOR CO:cPANY FOR CERTAIN _MTOR PROPELLED EQUIP'IENT FOR Co - resolut THE CITY OF :ALUCAH", be adopted.
