HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 19, Page 611, September 16, 1936N0.-6"1L—_-- Proccedings of _ Be rd of Commission.:rs City of Padacah• Kentuery_Septamber At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.Li. on the 16th day of September, 1936, Mayor Washburn presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hannin, Lockwood, Melton, Pulliam s.nd 2ayor Washburn (5). Uayor 1',ashburn stated reason for call, to -wit: Sor the purpose of considering offer of Johnson & Fowler to prepare audit of the City of Paduceh, Junior College and the Board of Education, and to transact any other business that uay properly come before the board. Johnson & Fowler Mayor Aashburn offered the following motion: I move that the letter regarding letter addressed to the Mayor and Board of Commission s from Johnson -Fowler audit & Company, certified public auditors and accountants be received, filed and spread upon the minutes: "Paducah, Kentucky September 16th, 1936 To the Mayor and Boarder Commissioners, City of Paducah, Gentlemen: Having made a survey of the records at the City Hall, Board of Education and Junior, we agree to make a thorough, detailed and complete audit of each of the three named departments for the calendar year 1936, furnishing required number of copies for each department for the following prices: City of Paducah, which will include all projects ..81500.00 Board of Education, including audit for atheletic association ................... 650.00 Junior College, including setting up of proper bookkeeping system............ 53.00 We ca; arrange to start the work of this audit at such date as will be convenient to your Board, and complete said audits not later than January 10th, 1937, unless delayed by matters ov,-r which we have no control. We propose to give you a full and complete audit and we are to receive no payment until the audits are received by your Board, checked and approved.
