At a call meeting of the Board of Comnissioners held in the
Co,:aissioncrs Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 10:00 o�clock A. pl., on
the 6th day of August, 1936, Ljayor 17ashburn presided and u.on call of the roll the
follc.in; answered to their names: Commissioners 11annin, Lockwood, Felton, Pulliam

dayor Washburn stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
considering the question of a vacation for the City Manager, and such oth r matters
__.:-ay properly come before the Board.
City;3rrF Commissioner Lockwood offered the following motion: The Mayor and

bo:.rd of Co_L.ission_rs having agreed that the City Manager may have a vacation, during
:ich hc. may be absent from the City of Paducah, and it being necessary that some
�q.ia.lified oerson be designated to perform the duties of his office during such
vacation or absence, I now move that Dr. S. B. Pulliam be designated as a properly
qualified person to perform the duties of City Manager during his absence during his
absence on s:ch vacation. This vacation to extend from August 10th to August 24th
11936. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bannin, Lockwood, Melton (3).

appear before the Board of Commissioners Thursday, August 13, at 2 P.M. to show cause
�rrhy his license should not be revoked. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Com-
missioners Hannan, Lockwood, Felton, Pulliam and Mayor Washburn (5).
