Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. ii Commissioner Lockwood offered the following motion: I move that L. V. Bean, city manager, discharged the services of L. V. Bean as city manager of thr city of Paducah, Kentucky, t.-rminate immediately upon the adoption of this motion. Adopted on nall of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hannin, Lockwood and Mayor Washburn (3). Nays; Commissioners Melton and Pulliam (2). Charles nieke Commissioner Hannin offered the following motion: I move that appointed city mgr., Charles Rieke be appointed and employed as acting city manager of Paducah, Kentucky, said employment to take effect upon the adoption of this motlon, and that the said Charles Rieke execute a bond with proper surety in the sum of $10,000, and that Lthe said Charles Rieke begin the functions of acting city manager upon execution of said bond. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hannin, Lockwood and Mayor Washburn (3). Bays; Commission•_rs Melton and Pulliam (2). trorkers Alliance ;Mayor Washburn offered the following motion. I move that the coxmunicatton communication from the Paducah Branch 82, Workers Alliance of America, be received, filed and spread upon the minutes, and that J. '.% Lockwood and Alvin Conway, members of wage board of P.17A be requested to meet with the Board of Commissioners j and the corvnittee of the 7iorkers Alliance on llednesday aft:rnoon, June 24th at 3:00 o'clock P.M., "Paducah, Ky.
