Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah' iientucky at 10:60 ofelock A.M. on the 1st day of November, 1935, Mayor Scott presided and upon cnLI of the roll the following answared to their names: Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5). Mayor Scott stated reason for call to -wit: To hear charges preferred against a member of the Fire Department. layor Scott offered the following motion: I move that the charges against Leo Rapp, which were executed upon him on the 23th day of October, 1935, be received and filed, and that in accordance with said request therein Leo Rapp,Fireman- that the Board of Commissioners proceed with the hearing of said charges forthwith. charges preferred. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas, Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn Mid Mayor Scott (5). Mayor Scott offered the following motion: I move that the findings and decision of the Board of Commissioners upon the charges preferred against Leo Rapp, a Fireman, be received and filed and spread upon the Minutes of this m eting, and that pursuant thereto that the said Leo Rapp be suspended from service without pay for a period of 90 days from and including the 1st day of November, 1935: Leo Rapp, fireman- "The Board of Commissioners having had under consideration suspended from service for 90 days ` charges against Leo Rapp, A fireman at 6tation #2, and the evidence submitted to the Board without any contradiction being to the effect that said fireman while on duty and on watch at said Station was guilty of being intoxicated to such extent as to be incapable of performing his duties. It is the judgment of the Board, that said fireman, Leo Rapp, is guilty as charged in the complaint filed against him, and that he should be suspended from duty as a fireman for 90 days from and including the 1st day of November, 1935, without pay. And the Board desires further to embrace in this finding and judgment the declaration that in the future in considering cases of intoxication of firemen or policeren while on duty, the penalty against p-rsons found to be guilty of such charges shall be dismissal from the service. r This the 1st day oi' November, 1935.
