Mayor Scott presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and }.payor Scott (5). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. Roy Hurt Mayor Scott offered the following motion: The Hotel Irvin Cobb given special having employed Roy Hurt, a citizen of Paducah, Kentucky, and more than 21 years Police Powers of age as special policeman and guard of its property in said city and having as Watch man at petitioned that the said Roy Hurt be granted Police Powers, I now move that the said Irvin Cobb Roy Hurt be granted police powers as watchman and guard for and on behalf of the Hotel. Irvin Cobb Hotel to serve without compensation from the City of Paducah upon his complying with the requirements of an ordinance relating to the granting and exer- cising of police powers which vas adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah on the 16th day of January 1920 and that bond be furnished by said employer as required by said ordinance. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Coamissloners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5). Licenses Mayor Scott offered the following motion: The Board of Commissioners of G.F. Battoe having bad under consideration complaint against G. F. Battoe, and having heard revoked. n the evidence of numerous witnesses, the hearing duly advertlsed,•and of which hearing the said Battoe had due notice and appeared and participated in said hearing and the Board of Commissioners having taken said matter under consideration subject to its right or the right of any member thereof to call up said matter at any regular meeting of the Board, I now move that said charges and complaint against the said Battoe, be now considered by the Board of Commissioners and that the said charges and complaint against the said Battoe be adjudged to be sustained and that his licenses to engage in business at 28th Street and Park Avenue in the City of Paducah, for the purpose of selling and dispensing beer and other merchandise be now revoked, effective as of this date. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5). R.L. Brockman Commissioner Balser offered motion that R. L. Brockman be exonerated for V^ 6.70 amount exonerated for City Taxes for the year 1934 in the amount of $ 6.70, on an assessed on car he did not own. assessment for a 1931 Chevrolet car which he did not ovm at the time of assessment. Wurth Commissioner Baker offered motion that the Poll Tax of �p 1.50 as exonerated from Poll Tax. shorn on Tax Bill ?''5703 for the year 1934 against J. S. Deed granted to Commissioner Baker offered motion that a deed granted to Mary A. Morris in Oak. Grove Mary A. Morris, for East 1/2 Lot V'433 in Block #13 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Cemetery. ti upon payment of u 50.00 to City Treasurer be approved. Hargan be exonerated exonerated for taxes in amount for City Taxes for the year 1934 in the amountof 4 4.02, being assessed for a of $ 4.02 radio which he did not own, and over -assessed on a 1929 Chevrolet car. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and Yayor Scott (5). G. y. Coggins Commissioner Baker offered motion that G. LS. Coggins be exonerated exonerated from Poll Tax. for Poll Tax in the amount of $ 1.50 for the year 1934, as shown on Tax Bill 91925 as he has been a resident of the County for four years.
