City of Paducah — --- --- r At n regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, held in the i Corulssioners? Chamber at tie City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky on the 28th day of May, 1934, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. Mayor Scott presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, BradshawRipley, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. Beasley Commissioner Baker offered the following motion: Whereas a lot Marble Ccmpany 40 x .160, on Caldwell Street, which has a church building on it, was erroneously exempted from placed on the tax list of the Beasley Marble & Granite Company, assessment value taxes, errone- $160.00, I move that the Beasley Marble & Granite Company be exonerated in the ously assessed net amount of $ 144.00 assessed valuation, amounting to $ 1.93 on the June bill and $ 1.93 on the October bill, for the lot on -which the church is built. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, linshburn and Mayor Scott (5). Transfer Commissioner Baker offered the following motion: Whereas, of por- tion of Fannie G. Boyd has conveyed to Ethel L. Hannin, a portion of a lot in Oak Grove lot in Oak Grow Cemetery, 12 x 20 feet of Lot #106 in Block J, by deed dated April 23rd, 1934, to Ethel L.Hannin I move that the transfer be approved and the City Clerk be authorized to record same by Fann- ie Boyd in the Oak Grove Cemetery Register. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; IV Commissioners Balser, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5). Mrs. L. Commissioner Baker offered the following motion: Whereas, T.Rudollh exempt Mrs. L. A. Rudolph was assessed $ 250.00 on household furnishings, and an from taxes. investigation showed that her household furnishings are valued less than $ 200.00, and the exemption being f, 250.00, I move that she be exonerated the item of 250.00 household furnishings on her tax bill #4393, for 1934, amounting to $ 3.35 on the June Half and $ 3.35 on the October Half. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commi:sioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5). Assess- Commissioner Baker offered the following motion: It appearing rent of L.J. that the property of A. J. Campbell and wife was assessed by Court Order in Campbell & rife April 1933, as follows: correct - cd. P26 :south Gth F 900.00 302 " n 3000.00 232 North w 4300.00 $ 8200.00 and that the Board of Equalizers, without any notice to said property owner, fixe(', thF; wluatlon at t 12,738.00, net, which was $ 4596.00 more than property was iasearrd i.y crurt order, I now •-ove that the asnonsment of the property of A. Albert Watson Commissioner Baker offered motion that Albert Watson be exonerated from poll exonerated for the poll tax of $ 1.50 charged on his tax bill h6516, for the tax. year 1934, as he is now 72 years old.
