At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Co•a-:issionersu Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky on the 3rd day of
April, 1934, at 5:00 o1clock P.M. Mayor Scott presided and upon call of the ro'L.1
the folLowing ans::ered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Bradhsaw, Ripley
;:or Scott (4). Commissioner Washburn being absent.
Mayor Scott stated reason for call to -wit: For the purpose of
granting special police powers to watchman at Paducah Cooperage and any other
business that might come before the meeting.
Special Mayor Scott offered the following motion: The Paducah Cooperage
Police
Powers Company having employed Willie Dunn, a citizen of Paducah and more than 21 years
granted
to of age, as a special policeman and guard at its properties in Paducah, and having
watch-
man 3 petitioned that the said WIlLLe Dunn be granted Police Powers, I now move that the

Cooper- said Willie Dunn be granted Police Powers as watchman and guard for and on behalf

of the Paducah Cooperage Company, to serve without compensation from the city of
Paduc.h, upon his complying with the requirements of an ordinance relating to the
granting and exercising of Police Powers which .,,as adopted by the city of Paducah on
the 16th day of January 1920, and that said bond be furnished by the said employer.
