Interest allowed Peoples Bank in amount of ^' 962.65 M At a regular meting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Comnoissionersv Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky at 2:00 o'clock P.V. on the 29th day of January, 1934, Mayor Scott presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5). City 64anager, T.. V. Bean was not present. Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. t! Mayor Scott offered the following motion: on account of the fact that the Board of Equalization, in the adjustment of values fixed and determined upon all property in the City of Paducah by the Board of Evaluation, which was appointed in 1933, has not been able to complete its work within the time allowed uy ordinance and by law and it appearing that it will require some clerical assistance in completing said work within the next four weeks and that an extension of time is necessary for such purpose, I now move that the sessions -of the Board of Equalization be extended for four additional weeks commencing with this date and that the City Mianager be and he is authorized to employ such clerical assistance as may be necessary to enable the Board of Equalization to so complete its work -ithin said period of time and to report to the Board of Comm7ssioners the number of employees and'rates of their pay. Commissioner Baker offered motion that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay the following amounts of interest on the amity of Pnducah notes issued to the Peoples National Bank on the following dates: Jan. 29th, 1934, note for :20,000.00-4 mos. Int. a 366.67 Jan. 29th, 1934, " " 20,000.00-5 mos. Int. 458.35 Oct. 27th, 1933, " " 25,000.00-29 days " 120.83 Nov. 21st, 1933, " " 3,500.00-29 days " 16.80 Total Interest *s 962.65 and eba.rge to the Interest on Borrowed Money Fund.
