Proceedings oF'11ZE_.BQARra_QF_COu'°IRcIQNFP:•- Ci[), of Paducah —"'ATV CRY -- _&ugust_2th,1833 _._-__ At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commissioners' Chamber in the City Rall, Paducah, Kentucky at 2;00 o'clock P.M. on the 7th day of August, 1933, Mayor Scott presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4). Minutes of the previous msetings were adopted as read. Report of Mayor Scott offered motion that the report of the Chief of the Fire Fire De- partment Department for the month of July, 1933, be received and filed. Adopted for July on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4). Report of Mayor Scott offered motion that the report of the Chief of Police for Cblef of ' Pollco the month of July, 1933 be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll: for Tuly Yeas; Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4). Report of Mayor Scott offered motion thnt the report of the City Jailer for the city Jailer fcr month of July, 1933, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; month of July 1933. Mayor Scott offered motion that the communication from the Worthy Manufacturing Company requesting exemption from taxes for a period of five years, be received and filed; and it appearing from said application that this applicant Is a manufacturing enterprise and that it was organized and connenced business on I he 10th day of July, 1933 and that it employs regularly more then fifteen people and is located at Bth & Burnett Streets in the City of Paducah, I move that said A'arthy Manufacturing Company or its successors be, and It is hereby exempted from the payment to the City of Paducah of all ad valorem and license taxes for a period of five years from the 10th day of July, 1933. Pro -rata of Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the Commissioner of Public tax collections for month of Finance be authorized to draw a check on the General Fund to the First National July allowed Board of Bank, Mayfield, Kentucky, Treasurer, for the Paducah Board of Education, Education. ✓ for amount of $ 857.69 in settlement of the Pro -rata amount due on the General Tax collections for the month of July 1933. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott. (4). Fire Plug Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the claim of the Paducah 'hater rentals for July 1933 Works for Fire Plug Rentals for month of July 1933, amounting to $ 3790.83, be allowed .1 i allowed, and the Commissioner of Public Finance be authorized to pay same and charge to ester Rentals in the Department of Public Affairs. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas: Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke asi Mayor Scott (4). Southern Trust Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the Southern Trust Company Company refund- ed $ 1.34 be refunded $ 1.34 account oferror made in making hart payment on King Mill on account of error in & Lumber Company, Tax Bill #2891 for June 1933, paid by Special bill #2823: making part payment on Amount of assessment paid on $ 6666 C v 2.68? $ 89.33 King Mill & Lumber Company Amount of assessment should pay on 6566 @ i 2.681. 87.99 Tax bill. 100 C $ 1.34 $ 1.34 and that the Commissioner of Public Finance be authorized to pay same and charge to Tax Refund Fund in the Department of Public Finance. Dee Sharpy, Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the application from Dee Sharpe, granted license to reteil beer, $704 South 8th St., for a license to permit the retailing of beer and light wines be granted upon payment of the proper amount to the Commissioner of Public Finance.
