At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners
Chamber in the City Hall Builmr, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, at 11:00 o1clock
A.M. on the 19th day of January, 1933, ?,:ayor Scott presided and upon call of the
roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Block, Bradshaw,
Rieke and Yayor Scott (4).
Payor Scott stated reason for call to-arit: For the purpose of ratifying
and making some changes In the Department of Public Safety.
Mayor Scott moved the adoption of an ordinance entitled " AN oRDTrTAru

OF aADUCAH, KFbITUCKY." Adopted on call of the roll; Yeas; Commissioners Block,
Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4).
Payor Scott offered motion that Kelly Franklin be appointed to serve
temporarily as Chief of Detectives in the Police Department of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Block, Bradshaw,
Rieke and Mayor Scott (4).
Mayor Scott offered motion that Eugene Sumner be appointed to serve
temporarily as Assistant Chief of Police of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Block, Rradahaw, Rieke and
Mayor Scott (4).
Mayor Scott offered motion that 7. r. Bryant be appointed to serve
temporarily as Chief of Police of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. Adopted on call
of the roll: Yeas; Comndssioners Block, -Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4).
Co^issioner Rieke offered motion that the noyrolls for the first half
of January 1933, be allo.ied in the amount of ' 7095.23, and that the Commissioner or
Public Finance be authorized to pay same by checks for amount of 3595.23 and to
pay the remainder of 3500.00 with Paclucah Industries booster Certificates.
