HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 18, Page 733, December 18, 1931Proceedings of _BOARD OF_COMAII°SIONFTS City of Padueah�KRNLMOM _D] CtE7BER At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners' Chambor in the City hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 18th day of December, 1931, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commisrioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Yayor Lackey, (5). Mnyor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the ouroose of nllowing semi-monthly payrolls, and such other business as may come before the Board. Commissioner Rutter offered motion that the payrolls for the first half of Payrolls first December, 1931 be allowed in the amount of $9921.30 and the Commissioner of Public half Dec. 131 Finance authorized to pay same. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Yayor Lackey, (5). Paducah Mayor Lackey offered the following motion: It appearing from an audit of Water Wks. the Paducah hater Works, municipally owned, made by Cotton & Eskew, certified Funds trans- public accountants, that during the year ending October 31st 1931 that the ferred Depreciation Fund wes drwwn upon and used in maf•ing certain extensions and improve- ments to the water works plant and distribution system to the amount of $8,581.46 and that said funds should have been drawn from the Special }Yater Works Fund in the hands of the city and deposited by the Commissioner of Public Finance as a part of the proceeds of the purchase price of said water works bonds sold by the City of Paducah in 1930 for the purpose of purchasing the Paducah Vlater Works and making improvements and extensions thereto, and said certified public accountants having recommended that the Depreciation Fund be reimbursed out of said Special hater Works Fund in the hands of the city, I now move that the sum of $8,581.46 be paid out of the Special YJnter Works Fund now in the hands of the ^ity, or out of such fund as may be procured for the purpose of restoring said Paducah Water Works Fund because of the anme having been placed on deposit in the City National Bank wlich is now in process of liquidation, and that the Commisnion•r of Public Finance be instructed to draw his check against said fund payable to the Commissioners of 'tinter Works of Pa,ucnh for said sum of $8,581.46 and charge same to sold Specinl.
