HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 18, Page 697, September 8, 1931N... _ .697— ------ -- Proceedin,is of— b0_ARD CF Co ni -` IOHT•.RS_ ( j;i) ( f t)ca 11 KENTUCKY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1931 At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners' Chamber in the City Hall Building on Tuesday, September 8th., 1931, which was the first legal day after Monday, September 7th, 1931, which wns the regular meeting day but some being a legal holiday said meeting was held on this day, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: The owners of property ;Yater mains on 8th st., on 8th street from Bilis street to Terrell street; and on Terrell street from 8th zllis to Terrell St., street to 6th street, in the City d Paducah, in all respects as provided by Section & on Terrell from 8th to 5 of the franchise ordinance creating the franchise of the Paducah Water Works 6th ata. extended Company in Paducah, Kentucky, and having in all respects agreed in writing to take, use and pay for water at the fixed rate for a term of not less than two years, co-mencing within thirty days after such pipe and main is completed and connections made, I noir move that said petition of said water patrons be received and filed and that said water mains be in all respects extended and installed under the provisions of Section 5 of said ordin nee and that the Commissioners of Water Works of Paducah, Kentucky be authorized, empowered and instructed to install said water mains and. water mains and water connections along 8th street from kllis street to Terrell street and on Terrell street from 8th streat•to 6th street. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners'bradshaw, Hannin, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4). Illinois R. Commissioner Rutter offered the following motion: The claim of the Illinois R.Co.,clnim for frt. Central Railroad Company for freight charges on a car of crushed stone, amounting to X68.00, having been duly approved for allowance and payment, I move that said claim beallowed and that the Commissioner of Public Finance be authorized to pay same and charge to the Street Fund in the Department of Public Works.
