At a call mreting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commissioners? Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah,
Kontucky at 11:00 o'clock A.M. on the 18th day of July, 11931, Mayor Lackey
presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names:
Commisrioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
allowing semi-monthly payrolls, and such other business as May come before
the Board.
Payrolls for first Commissioner Rutter offered motion that the payrolls for the first
half of July,131
half of July, 1931 be allowed in the amount of $10,232.57, and the
Commissioner of Public Finance authorized to pay same. Adopted on call of the
roll: Yeas; Comnissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey,(5).
Borrow Money- Coirmissioner Rutter offered motion to adopt an ordinance entitled,
'990,000.00
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ANE'DIRFCTING THF MAYOR AND COMMIS'IONER OF PUBLIC
PITTANCE TO BORRO17 THE SUM OF NINETY THOUSAND (,$90,000.00) DOLLARS FOR THE
USE AND BFNEFIT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND TO EXECUTE A NOTE OR NOTES
FOR SAID SUM OR SUMS FOR AND_ON.BFHALF OF SAID CITY, AND TO PLEDGE THE
REVENUES OF THE CITY FOR THE LAST OHE-HALF OF THE YEAR 1931 AS SECURITY
THEREFOR.° Adopted on call of the roll: YQas; Commissioners Bradshaw,
Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
