At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commissioncrst Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah,
' Kentucky at 11:00 o'clock A.M. on the 19th day of May, 1931, Mayor Lackey
presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their nnmes:• -
Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
allowing semi-monthly payrolls, and such other business as may come before
the Board.
Payrolls -first Hommissioner Rutter offered motion that the payrolls for the first
half May,1931
half of May, 1931 be allowed in the amount of ,$9923.55, anal the Commissioner
of Public Finance be authorized to pay same. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas;
Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Claims -April 131 Commissioner Rutter offered motion that the claims .for the month of
April, 1931 be allowed in the amount of $12,943.62, and the Commissioner of
Public Finance be authorized to pay same. Adopted on call of the roll: Yens;
Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Borrow Money- Commissioner Rutter offered the following motion: I move the adoption
$25,000.00
of an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AITTHORIZING AND rIRFCTING-THF. MAYOR
AND COMMISSIONFR OF PUBLIC FINANCE TO BORRO'^ TAF SUM OF T"TFNTY-FIVE THOUSAND
($25,000.00) DOLLARS FOR THF USE Aft BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF PAPIICAH, KENTUCKY,
AND TO EXFCUTE A NOTE OR NOTES FOR SAID SUM OR SUMS FOR AND ON BEFALF OF SAID
CITY, AND TO PLEDGE THE REVENUES OF THE CITY POR THE FIRST ONE-HALF OF THE YEAR
1931 AS SECURITY THCREFOR." Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners
Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Paducah 'later Mayor Lackey offered motion that the report of the Paducah 'Yater Works

claim -April +31 for the month of April, 1931 be received and filed; and that the amount of said
bill, $3,720.61,be allowed and that the Commissioner of Public Finance be
authorized to draw check in payment thereof. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas;
Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
On motion meeting adjourned.
