At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'
Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 2 o'clock P.M.
on the 27th day of February, 1931, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll
the following answered to their names: r6mmissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson,
Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of letting
contract for 1000 feet of fire hose, and suchother business as mnv come before the
Board.
ContractCommissioner Nelson offered the following motion: The Commissioner of Public
for 1000 safety having heretofore advertised Eor bids for 1000 feet of cotton rubber lined

hose hose with couplings, and it spnearing from the bids submitted that the bid of the
awarded
Farr -Eat- Farr -Bettor supply Company is the lowest and best bid, and the said Farr -Better
for Supp-
ly Co. Supply Comnany offering to furnish said 2- inch cotton rubber lines hose, known as
Economy Double Jacket Underwriters Labeled Fire Hose, at the price of 63V per foot,
amounting to $630.00 for said hose and couplings as shown by said bid, which is filed
herewith, I now move that the bid of the snip Farr -Better Supoly Company to furnish
said 1000 feet of 2J inch cotton rubber lined fire hose with couplings as per said
bid aforesaid, be received, accepted and apnroved;'nnd that the Commissioner of Public
safety be and he is hereby authorized to purchase same and charge same to account of
Fire Department. Adopted on call of the roll: Yens; Commissioners Bradshnw,
Hnnnin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
On motion meetlne adjourned.
