Mayor Lackey stated reason for as U, to -wit: For the purpose of a board known as Commissioners of '"ater Works, and such other business as may come before the Board. Mayorvs communi- Mayor Lackey read a communication to the Hoard announcing the cation regarding Co•;mrs.of dater appointment of the Commissioners of Plater '.Yorks, t7orks Commissioner Nelson offered motion that the communication from the Commissioners of "Inter Works Mayor designating and appointing the Honorable James P. Smith, Honorable appointments ratified and Edwin J. Paxton, and Honornble Jams C. Utterback as Commissioners of dater '.7orks approved of the C�,ty of Paducah, be received, filed and.copied into the minutes of this proceeding, and that said nominations be now rstified and approved by the Board of Commissioners. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4), Said commanication is as follows: "Paducah,Kentucky October 10,1930 To the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah Gentlemen: Pursuant to the provisions Of an ordinance of the City or Paducah establishing a hoard to be known as Commissioners of Water Works, and prescribing their duties and method and manner of their selection, I hereby designate and appoint, subje,t to your ratification and approval, the following to be and constitute the Commissioners of t7ater ':!orks of the City of Paducah: Honorable James P. Smith, Honorable Edwin J. Paxton, and Honorable James C.Utterback, Respectfully, Ernest Lackey, Mayor " On motion meeting adjourned. City e•r `— APPROVED• mayor
