At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'
Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 10 o'clock A.M.,
on the 12th dap of April, 1930 in the absence of Mayor i.nekey., Commissioner Nelson
presided as Mayor pro .tam and upon call of the roll the following answered to their
names: .Commissioners Fannin, Rutter and Mayor pro tem Nelson, (3).
Mayor pro tem Nelson stated reaaon for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
awarding contract for .the construction of the Colored Isolation Unit to Riverside
Hospital, and such other business as may come before the Board.
Co.Isolaticn Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the bids for the construction of
Unit -River-
side Hospit- the Colored isolation Unit to Riverside Hospital be received and filed. Adapted
al -Bids
received on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hannin, Rutter and Mayor pro tem Nelson,(3).
Col.Isolat- Commissioner Hannin offered the following motion: It appearing from
Ion Unit -
contract the examination of all of the bids submitted on this day for the erection of the
awarded
Colored Isolation Unit to Riverside Hospital that the bid of Lockwood k Gasser, for
the furnishing of all labor anO material for the construction of said building,
according to the plans and specifications and pursuant to the ordi.nar.ce calling for
same, is the lowest and best bid; same being,with the elimination of the items to be
deducted from said plans and specifications, as shown in said proposal, and to
embrace only the deductions numbered 1,2,3,5 and 6, and with said eliminations said
bid amounting to $3,826.00, not to include plumbing and heating. I further move
that the certified check of the said Lockwood and Gasser be held by the Commissioner
of Public Finance until the contract and bond for said Job has been executed and
accepted, and that the certified checks of the unsuccessful bidders be returned to
them. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hannin, Rutter and Mayor pro
tem Nelson, (3).
Commissioner Hannin offered the following motion: It appearing from the

ion Unit bids on the plumbing and heating for the Colored Isolation Unit to Riverside Hospital

heating bi?s that said bids are not satisfactory to the Board of Commissioners, and nil if said
refected
bids are rejected and the certified checks nceompnning same returned to the bieders,
and the Commissioner of Public Property is hereby authorized and instructed to
advertise for bids on said plumbing and heating according to the plena and
speciflentions. Adopted on call of the roll: Ycas; Ccmmiaaionors Hannin, Rutter
and keyor pro tam Nelson, (3).
On motion meeting adjourned.
