At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commissionerev Chamber in the City Nall Building in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky at 11 oIclock A.N., on the "nd day of Jnnunry, 1930, Mnyor Lackey
presided and upon call of the roll the following nnswered to their nnmel:
Commissioners Bradshaw, Hnnnin, Nelson, nutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
ranking final settlement with Southern Roads Compnny on Contract No.2, and such
other business as may come before the board.
Commissioner Rutter offered motion th^t the report on the Soutrern
Southern Rds.Co.,
final settlement
Roads Company Contract No.2 be accepted, and the Commissioner of Public Finance
Contract No.2
be authorized to make final settlement upon sale of the Improvement bonds to
be issued thereon on the ten year payment plan; and that the Mayor and
Commissioner of Public Finance be authorized to have printed, executed and sold
such Improvement Bonds to the amount of 435,699.27 in accordance with the
provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes governing same. Adonted
on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hnnnin, Nelson, Rutter
and Mayor Lackey, (5).
Commissioner Rutter offered motion to adopt an ordinance entitled,
Borrow Money -
$200,000.00
"AN ORDINANCE. AUTHORISING AND DIRECTING THE 14AYOR AND COMMVIB IONFR OF PUBLIC
FINANCE TO BORFOW THF- SUM OF IWO.HUWDPFD TFOUSAND ($200.000.00) DOLLARS FOR
TFF USE AND BENEFIT OF IHE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND TO EXECUTE A NOTE. OR
NOTES FOR RAID BUM OR BUNS FOR AND ON BEHALF OF SLID CITY, AND TO PLEDGE
THE REVENUES OF THE CITY FOR THP FIRST ONE. -HALF OF THE YEAR 1930 AS SECURITY
