.' At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commissioners' Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky
at 3 o'clock P.M., on the 27th day of December, 1929, Mnyor Lackey presided and
upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: ^ommissioners
Bradshaw, Fannin, Nelson, Rutter end Mayor Lackey, (5).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
effecting settlement with Pure Ice Company for damage done to Cross Crock Bridge
and such other business as may come before the Board.
Commissioner Bradshaw offered the follo:ving motion: The Pure Ice
Cross Creek Company having by the.use of one of its trucks negligently caused injury nod
bridge -settlement
between city•& damage to Cross Creek Bridge at the end of Broad Street at the intersection of
Pure Ice Co.,
damages Broad and Brown Streets, and it having been agreed as a compromise of said.
damages to said bridge for and between the City of Paducah and rare Ice Compnny
th^t.$125.00 may be paid in full settlement of all the damages and injury to said
bridge occasioned by said truck, which accident occurred on the 2nd day of
July, 1929, and the Marylend Casualty Company having tendere9 its draft in the sum
of $125.00 in the settlement of said damage and compromise, I now move that said
$125.00 be received in full settlement, satisfaction ^nd discharge of said claim
arising out of said accident in favor of the city of Paducah, and that the
Mayor be authorized to sign all necessary releases for and on account of said
accident and damages aforesaid. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas;

Mayor Lackey offered motion that the clnim of Hill & Karnes Brick

Brick Co., claim Company against Merkle Contracting Compqny for $7078.90 be received and filed.
