At a er_11 meeting of tic Board or Co•misnionors held in the Commissioners' at 2 o'clock p.m., Chamber in the City Fnll Puild.ing in the City of Paducah, Kentucky/on the 18th dsy,of October, 1929, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the ro"1 the follm:ring answered. to t?,eir names:Comrisaionors Bradshaw, Fannin, Futter and Vayor Lackey, (4). Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -sit: Pour the purpose of adcnting assessment ordinal,ces on Contracts numbers 1 and 2, and snth other business as mr.y ccmo before the board. Alley Commissioner hradshnw offered the following motion: J.M.Rouse Contracting betv,r en ' Bdr, & Ky Compan:, Contractors, having completed the construction of the alley lying between 6th to 7th =:.Cont Nroadway and Kentucky Avenue, from the west property line of 6th Street to the east ,1 accept- ed property line of 7th btreet, and notice having heretofore been given on the 12th day of October, 1929, that the Board of Commissioners would in the forenoon on r'riday, October 18, 1929, inspect said alley and all work incident thereto, and would be in session at 2 O'clock p.m., on the 18th day of October, 1929 in the Commissioners' Chamber in the city Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to hear any complaint or protest with reference to the doing and neceptsnce of said work, and the cost thereof as set out in said notice, and said B6ard of Commissioners having so inspected said work and finding same has been completed in accordance with said contract, and no one having made or lodged any complaint or protest with reference thereto, as provided in said notice, or at all, I move tt,nt said alley and all work done in connection therewith be accepted; same being known as Alley Contract No.l, J.111,1(ouse contracting company, Contractors, and that the engineer's estimated cost of same be confirmed and that said estimates be turned over to the Commissioner of Public rinance for co'lection, and that the City Solicitor be instructed to prepare an ordinance assessing the property as shorn by the Engineer's estimates. Proceedings of __BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS City of Paducah, KrWTUCKY,_OCTOBER 21, 1929 At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners' Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 2 oTclock p.m., on the 21st day of October, 1929, Mayor Lackey presided and upon cell of the roll the fol owing answered to their names: Commissioners Brnddhaw, Rnnnin, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: J.M.Rouso Contracting 20th & Company having executed construction bond for the construction of sidewalks, drive. ..heeler ways, curb and gutter on the west side of 20th Street, from the South curb line of Sts., sidewalk, Jackson Street to the junction of 20th Street and Wheeler Avenue; and on the south curb & gutter side of Wheeler Averaie, from the junction of 20th Street and '!!heeler Avenue to the Cont.#8 filed west property line of "C" Street, and having executed Contract No.B covering said work, whict bond has been approved by the Mayor and signed by J.M.Rouse Contracting Company as principal and the National Surety Co., of New York as surety, and the contract approved by the City Solicitor, I noa move that said contract and bond be received and filed and that the certified bid check 6f J.M.Rouso Contracting Company be delivered to them by the Commissioner of Public Finance. Impv.Tax Commissioner Rutter offered the following motion: It appearing that Bills - error Improvement Tax Bill #39080 is made.out against Paul Stewart for smount of $2.74 and corrected was erroneously paid by Bamberger and Jacobs, and that Improvement Tax Bill #37944 made out against Mary Masserang for Five (.05) Cents in excess of the proper amount and was duly paid, I noxa move that in order to cornet said mistakes, the Cormnissionor of Public Finance be authorized to issue a check of the City of Paducah on the Special StreU Improvement Fund for the sum of $2.79 and refund the total amount erroneously collected.
