At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the
Commissioners' Chamber in the City Hnll Building in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky at 11 o'clock a.m., on the 15th day of October, 1929, Mayor Lackey
presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names:
Co-missioncrs Bradshaw, Hannin, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
allowing Carey -Reed Company extension of time on Contract No.l, and such other
business as may come before the Board.
Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: Carey -Reed

extension on ContractCompany, contractors and Maryland Casualty Company, his surety in his construction
No.l granted
bond, having applied for an extension of time in which to complete Contract Nol
for street construction for 1929, Jefferson Street from ?5th Str,let to 32nd
Street, and LaBelle Avenue, from Jeff rson Street to Broadway, I now move that
said request be received and filed.and that said extension be granted.
AFlopted on ca11 of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Rutter and
Mayor Lackey, (4).
King Mill Lumber Co. Mayor Lackey offered motion that the notice of a lien of King.Mill
claim against Lumber Company against Merkle Construction Company for $7,904.08 be received
Merkle Const.Co.
and filed. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas: Commissioners, Bradshaw, Hannin,
,Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4).
F.L.Gardner claim- Ptnyor Lackey offered motion that the notice of lien of F.L.Onrdner
against Merkle Const.against the +•jerkle Construction Company for $1204.45 be received and filed.

Adopted on call of the roll: Yens; CommlAsioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Rutter and
Mayor Lackey, (4).
Ellis Brothers Mayor Lackey offered motion that the notice of lien of Ellis Brothers
claim against Merkle
Construction Co. against Markle Construction Company for $1458.86 be received and filed; said
lien embracing therein the amount of a,statement heretofore filed by said Ellis
Brothers. Adopted on call of the roll: Yons; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin,
Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4).
On motion meeting adjourned.
