BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS No 377 City of Paducah_ CT. .._,14,1929 _ At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners' Chamber in the City Nall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 2 o'clock p.m., on the 14th day of October, 19299 Mayor Lackey pros}dod and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted ss read. Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: (Qt appearing from Paxton St., Bloom to Alexander -gravel, the examination of all of the bids received for the construction of gravel street, ote Contract #9 awarded E.L.Beyer and concrete curb, gutter and driveways on Paxton Street, from the West property line of Bloom Avenue to the West property line of Alexander Avenue, under Contract No.9, that the bid of E.L.Beyer is the lowest and best bid, I novr move that his proposal and bid on said contract for the construction of said street by grading and graveling same with bank gravel, as poovided in the specifications and by the construction of concrete curb, gutter and driveways with gravel aggregate in all concrete, be accepted; and that the Mayor be authorized, empowered and instructed to enter into a contract with the said E.L.Beyer for the construction of said street by grading and graveling same with bank gravel, and by the construction of concrete curb, gutter and driveways in all respects in accordance with the plans and specifications and under the provisions of the ordinance providing for said improvement. And I further move that the cettified checks of the unsuccessful bidders be returned to them. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5). Commissioner Bradshaw offered motion that the application of Carey - Carey -Reed Company Reed Company and the Maryland Casualty Company, as surety, for an extension request for exten- sion on Cont No.l of time for 30 days from and after the 15th day of September, 1929 in which to granted complete construction of �'trcet Paving Contract No.l, 1929, Jefferson ::trcet from 25th Street to 32nd Street, and LaBelle Avenue from Jefferson Street to Brondway, be concrrred in amd that said extension be granted.
