At a call meeting to the Board of Com.^imissioners hold in the
Commissioners' Chamber in the City Ball Building in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky at 2 o'clock p.m., on the 11th day of October, 1929, Mayor
Lackey presided andupon call of the roll the following answered to their
names: Commissioners Bradshaw, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (9).
Mayor Lackey stnted reason for call, to -wit: For the aurpose
of awarding contract No.8 for sidewalk, curb, gutter and driveways, and
such other business as may come before the Board.
On motion meeting adjourned.

Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: It anpearing
20th St & 7heeler
Ave, sidewalk,etc
from the examination of all of the bids received for the construction of
Cont. #8 awarded
Rouse
sidewalk, driveways, curb and gutter on the west side of 20th Street, from the
south curb line of Jackson Street to the junction of 20th Street and Wheolor
Avenue; and on the south side of ':!heeler Avenue, from the junction of 20th
Street and Wheeler Avenue to the west property line of "C" Street under Contract
No.8 that the bid of J.M.Rouse Contracting Company is the lowest and beat
bid, I move that their proposal and bid on said contrnet according to the
proposal and bid submitted with the plans and specifications, with gravel
aggregate in all concrete, bit accepted; and that the Mayor be authorized,
empowered and instructed to enter into a contract with J.M.Rouse Contracting
Company for the construction of said sidewalk, curb, gutter and driveways
and the construction of all manholes, intakes, catch basins and sewers, and
the furnishing of such sewer pipe as may be necessary under said contract,
\ in a chrdance with the plans and specifications and under the provisions
of the ordinance providing for said improvement.
And I further move that the certified checks of the unsuccessful
bidders be returned to them. Adopted on call of the roll: Yens;
Commissioners Bradshaw, Nelson, Rutter and Mnyor Lnekey, (9).
On motion meeting adjourned.
