At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'
Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 10 o'clock
a.m., on the 30th day of September, 1929, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of
the Poll the following answered to their nAmes: Commissioners Bradshaw,
Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5). '
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
opening bids on Contracts 6 and 7 for gravel streets, curb and gutter on
Washington Street from 21st to 22nd Street, and on Adams Street from 28th
to 29th Streets, and such other business as may come before the Board.
On mot-icn meeting adjourned

Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: I move that the
Washington Street
21st to 22nd Sts
following bids for the construction of gravel street, and concrete curb,
gravel, etc bids
opened
gutter and driveways on 7.1ashington Street, from the west curb line of 21st
Street to the west property line of 22nd Street, tinder Contract No.6, be received
and filed, and that the certified checks accomoaning same be delivered to the
Commissioner of Public Finance to be held subject to the further orders of the
Board of Commissioners:
Frazier to Cocke
Duke Williams
E.L.Beyer
Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson,
Rutter and mayor Lackey, (5).
Adams Street
Commissioner Bradshaw offered motion that the following bids for the
28th to 29th Sts
gravel, etc bids
construe ion of gravel street, and concrete curb, gutter and driveways on Adams
opened.
Street, from the west curb line of 28th Street to the east property line of
29th Street, under Contract No.7, be received and filed, and that the certified
checks accompaning same be delivered to the Commissioner of Public Finance
to be held subject to the further orders of the Board of Corrmissioneis:
Frazier & Cocke
Duke 'lfilliams
E.L.Beyor
And I move that the further consideration of said bids be deferred
until the regular meeting of the Board of Coi;missioners this afternoon. Adopted
on call of the roll: Yons; Comminsioncis Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and
Mayor Lackey, (5).
