At a call meeting of the Board of Commtesloners hold in the Commic.elone raI
Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 3 o'clock
p.m., on the 29th day of August, 1929, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of roll
the following answered to their no mea Commission,:rs Hannin, Ilelaon, Rutter
and Irnyor Lackoy, (4). ,
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of sending
Fire Chief Slaughter to Ashland, Kentucky to attend Convention of Fire Chiefs
and to allow ,I.C.Rollroad shops bond $100.00, and such other_buaines3 no may
come before the Board.
Commissioner Nelson offered the following motion: It appearing that it
Fire Chief Slaughter
to State Convention is to the interest of the City of Paducah that its Ftre Chief attend the State
Convention of Fire Chiefs to be held at Ashland, Kentucky during the month of
September, 1929, and that the probable expense will be $50.00, I move that the
sum of ?50.00 be paid to John M. Slaughter to cover the expense of his trip
in attending the State Fire Chiefs' Convention at Ashland this year, and that
he be authorized and instructed to at*end the same. Adopted on call of the
roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hannin, Helson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4).
Mayor Lackey offered motion that there be allowed and paid to the
I.C.Railroad Shops Illinois Central Railroad Shops band the sum of $100.00 for services to be
band allowed
$100.00 rendered by them to the City of Paducah; and that the snme be charged to
Contingent Fund. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners
Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (4).
On motion meeting adjourned.
