At a call meeting of the board of Commissioners hold in the Commissioners'
Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 2 o'clock p.m.,
on the P2nd dny of August, 1929 Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the
followirtr answered to their names: Commissoners Brndsh�w, Hannin, Nelson, Fvjtter
and `.'.ayor Lackey, (5). 1
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of allowing
partial payment on Seer Zone 4A, Morkle Contracting Company, and such other bun9noss
as may come before the Board.
Commissioner -Bradshaw offered the following motion: It appearing that
Sewer Zonothe S'erkle Contracting Company has been paid e15,376.43, some being 95r of the amount

Cont.Co., of the estiaated cost of that part of the sewer in Sewer Zone 4A extending from 19th
partial
payment Street to 21st Street on Madison Street, and for which part the city is liable, and
It further appearing that the balance of approximately 5% of said cost is being held
by the city pending final settlement and the completion of the work on said Sevier Zone
4A and upon said sewer in Madison Street, between 19th Street and 21st Street, and it
appearing that of the balance of said funds to be paid upon final acceptance of said
work there will remain a sufficient amount to insure the completion thereof after the
further payment of $600.00 to the said Merkle Contracting Company, I no:•r move that there,
be allowed and paid to the Merkle Contracting Company the further sum of ;'600.00 to
be charged to the account of said serer between 19th Street and 21st Stroct on Madison
Street, and to such account as the some may be chargeable; all of some to be credited
against the finnl estimate for -said work when accepted. Adopted on call of the
roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5).
