At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioncral
Chnr..ber in the City Rall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 10 o'clock a.m.,
on the 19th day of August, 1929, Mayor Lackey presided Pnd upon call of the roll
the foll.owine answered to their names; Commissioners Bradshaw, Rannin, Nelson, Rutter
and 7ayor Lackey, (5).
Meyer Lackey stated reason for call; to -wit: Fou the purpose of opening
bids on Contract No.9, and such other business as may come before the Board.
Cwmnissionc-r Bradshaw, offered the following motion: I move that the
folleving bids for the construction and reconstruction of the driveway on the Love-
Lovelace-
ville Rd. lsceville Road, from the North property line at the junction of the Blandville Road
Bdw„to
Blend- and commencing at the North edge of the improved intersection of the Paducah and

Road, together with all necessary curbs, gutters, driveways, manholes, intakes, catch
basins, sewer and drain pipe, be received add filed, and that the certified chocks
accompaning same be delivered to the Commissioner of Public Finance to be held
subject to the further orders of the Board of Commissioners:
Southern Roads Company
Carey -Reed Company

And I move that the further consideration of slid bids be postponed.until
the regulrr meeting of said Board of Commissioners at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
