At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commissioners Chamber in the City flail building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky
at 11 o'clock a.m., on the 29th day of May, 1929; Mayor Lackey presided and upon call
of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Nelson, Rutter
and &ayor Lackey, (3).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
granting police power to Fred Swenter, and such other business as may come bofore the
Board.
Commissioner Nelson offered motion that the communication from
Fred Swan- Southern Roads'Company requesting that the Board of Commissioners grant police power
ter -police
power to Fred Swenter as night watchman and guard to keep traffic off of newly paved streets
for Southern Roads (;onpany, be received and filed and that the said Fred Sweater be
granted police power upon his executing bond and taking the oath as required by
ordinance and law. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners
Nelson, Futter and Mayor Lac' -e7, (3).
On motion meeting adjourned.
